And WTF are we up to?
No Look Drop combines old school improvisation with modern drops.
We love a good night out at a gig. But the scene here ain’t providing what we’re looking for. That’s why we created No Look Drop.
Local rock went limp. Most DJs are just having a wank.
Our aim is to pin the balls back on the NZ rock donkey and make electronic music fun to watch again by combining insane guitar solos with the fattest drops known to man.
The Live Experience
A No Look Drop gig is different because it combines the strengths of rock and electronic gigs.
DJ sets need a frontman who is actually playing and performing the music.
Rock needs chest hair again. It needs fatter bass and some electronic filth.
We want to make the most fun show possible to play, and the most fun show possible to watch.
The set is made up of original songs tied together with DJ transitions. It’s one seamless beam of music from the start of the show to the end. Everything from ballads to hard techno as we ride the audience’s energy.

My goal with the guitar in No Look Drop is to add to the intensity of electronic drops and builds with classic rock style solos spiced with modern shred techniques.
My style is aggressive. I want to shred your face off. I want blood but in a pretty way. My biggest guitar influences (Jimmy Page, Paganini, Slash) take beautiful melodies and mix in violent outbursts.
With No Look Drop I do this by using the energy contrast of electronic music (soft builds to nasty drops) to make a wide emotional range for my solos. Sad sad blues all the way to balls to the wall shredfests and back - all within the same song.
